SEAT Toledo (1999 - 2005) 1.8 20V SE 4d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
It is a serious design flaw from the start and would stop me ever buying skoda/seat/vw etc ever again. It looks like they tested the use of A1 to build it instead of someone who actually knows about cars beyond what they see on a PC.
Rear door lock was dead...major PITA to fix dues to serious design flaw issues that seem to have made it as hard as can be.
The pollen filter is clearly an after thought as its wedged in the OSR engine bay under trhe screen and leaks like a sieve by design.
The doors, whilst they do actually have drain holes, they thend ecided to cover them up with the rubber strip at the bottom. Hence, unless you remove the rubber strip at each hole, will yet again flood the car with a gallon of water each time it rains. How the hell they got away with it is beyond me. Ignorance really is bliss to many.
That said it has great body protection underneath and on top so no issues there (2003/04 version) and no real issues with engine/box. Gearbox oil leak.
Mind you what is any good these days beyond 2000!! sigh.
Great if you are DIY mechanic...otherwise stay away.
