Ford Tourneo Custom Dimensions (2012-on)
Both eight- and nine-seat versions of the Tourneo Custom are available and, despite being a passenger vehicle, the Ford offers reasonable cargo capacity. A short wheelbase version, 4.97 metres in length, offers a rear luggage capacity of 922 litres to the beltline with all rear seats in place. The long wheelbase version, 5.34 metres in length, has a larger 1,447 litre cargo capacity. Those regularly carrying large amounts of equipment or luggage should opt for the long wheelbase version, although it’s worth pointing out the luggage space is the only internal difference between the two. Twin sliding side doors and running boards are fitted as standard, making getting into the Tourneo Custom easy. Both front doors open wide, further improving accessibility. The two rows of rear seats can be folded or removed, allowing customers to configure their vehicle to best suit their needs. The seats are heavy, however, which can make removing them difficult. They also don’t fold flat into the floor, although they do fold down so you can lay longer items over them. As with the Transit Custom, an integrated foldable roof rack system is available. This can carry loads of up to 130kg. Customers can also specify a reclining set of rear seats and armrests on the outer second row seats. Short wheelbase versions of the Tourneo Custom can tow a 750kg unbraked trailer or a 2,000kg braked trailer. Long wheelbase models can tow 750kg or 2,250kg respectively.
