Ineos Grenadier Commercial dimensions (2025)

The Ineos Grenadier Commercial is only available in the one shape and size, being that it is a conversion of the five-seater passenger Grenadier.

The conversion means it has a permanent bulkhead, a fixed loading bay floor and blanked off rear windows, all done so that you can’t convert it back to being a car – the seat fixings have been removed.

As with all commercial 4x4s it is not as big or as evenly shaped as a standard van, so if sheer capacity is your priority and you only need light off-road ability then an all-wheel drive version of a van is probably a better bet.

The Ineos Grenadier Commercial is only offered in one size and shape.

INEOS Grenadier capacity & size

3.5 out of 5 3.5

The Ineos Grenadier Commercial benefits from the underlying vehicle’s square proportions, maximising the space available in the load area. It features a handy 30/70-split rear door at the back, although the 70 portion’s handle is difficult to access because of the spare wheel, and also seriously heavy for the same reason. Don’t get your fingers trapped…

Despite its Commercial remit, you also retain the side doors in the back, which this tester’s dog greatly appreciated.

The flat load area features four movable tie-down hooks and will take a Europallet.

INEOS Grenadier payload, weight & towing

4 out of 5 4.0

The Ineos Grenadier Commercial offers a decent payload for a vehicle of its type, although it falls short of the one-tonne carrying ability that almost all UK pickups can provide. It's not far short, though, with the petrol version the stronger of the two with an 871kg capacity, while the diesel can take 796kg.

The Ineos Grenadier Commercial is a strong towing vehicle.

It has a few other strings to its bow, too, as you can carry up to 150kg on the roof if you have the full-length roof rack to distribute the weight. This goes up to 420kg if you are parked up, which allows for rooftop tents and the like.

The towing ability is as strong as you would hope for a vehicle like this - it is capable of hauling the maximum legally permitted 3,500kg.
