SsangYong Korando Sports dimensions (2012-2016)
If you’re looking for a pickup that’s capable of carrying heavy or large loads then the SsangYong Korando Sports’ maximum payload weight may disappoint.
A variety of other cargo-related options are on offer, including a hard top and an integrated roller cover for the rear load bed.
The load area is very small at 1,275mm long, 1,600mm wide, 525mm deep and there’s 1,120mm of clearance between the wheel arches. That means it should just accept a Euro-pallet, provided you’ve a forklift truck to raise it up to the level of the bed.
Fortunately the tailgate folds down flat and level, making accessing the load bed simple.
Manual versions are rated to carry 643kg and automatic models can cope with up to 630kg.In 2015, this was upgraded to just over one tonne and means the Ssangyong Korando Sports now benefits from VAT exemption.
The Korando Sports can tow a 750kg unbraked trailer but its braked towing weight rating of 2,300kg is less than competitors like the aforementioned Ford Ranger.
