Volkswagen is collaborating with hardtop specialist Truckman to offer a new range of Amarok canopies. The stylish and practical covers can be ordered from any of Volkswagen’s 73 specialist Van Centres.
The two new hardtops, called the RS and Utility, differ from the current lifestyle hardtops, the GLS and Grand, in that they’re developed for the commercial side of the market. They are available in a wide choice of colours and the RS comes with an integrated spoiler, non-drilling clamp fitting and solid sides for secure storage.
The roof height of the canopies match with the cab, which not only looks more presentable, but also improves the aerodynamics.
Meanwhile the easy-clean interior is handy for messy operations, and windowless sides with tinted and toughened glass at the back keep expensive loads protected and hidden from public view.
“The two new Truckman Amarok hardtops further enhance the range of off-the-shelf storage solutions we can offer as a brand,” explained Trevor Hodgson-Phillips, head of service and parts for Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles.
“There is now even greater choice for business users and those Amarok owners that require a more commercial practical storage solution. Working in partnership with Truckman, we’ve developed two new products that not only meet Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ stringent manufacturing and technical standards, but also enable us to meet the business needs of our customers.
With the variety of colours available, the new hardtops are guaranteed to make Volkswagen drivers stand out from the rest.”
The new hardtops can be ordered via Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles’ network of 73 Van Centres, and are made to order in the UK. The Utility hardtop is priced at £1,112 plus VAT, while the RS hardtop will set you back £1,599 plus VAT. Volkswagen can fit them on site.
