This coming weekend (8-9 July 2017) will see the 25th Flying Legends air show take place at the Imperial War Museum Duxford in Cambridgeshire – and as per the 2016 event, a Toyota Hilux pickup will be serving as ground support.
The Hilux, which is loaned to organisers The Fighter Collection, will be making good use of its 3.5-tonne towing capacity to help ground crew handle classic aircraft including Spitfires, Huirricanes and Mustangs.
And once again, it is sporting a rather dramatic appearance – as you can see in these first official pictures.

Has the Hilux dressed to impress at Duxford?
Like last year’s version, a special fantasy livery has been applied to the pickup for the Flying Legends show, paying homage to famous aircraft paint schemes.
For 2017 it appears to have been particularly influenced by American designs, the chequered flag motif at the front with stripes towards the rear being especially reminiscent of the P47 Thunderbolt.
