In their own words

We bought this car as our first brand new car, so very excited to pick it up. The reason we went for this car was it’s a bit taller, which in particular helped me get in and out of the vehicle. We also had used diesel cars in the past but switched to petrol in view of the dislike of diesels from a ‘green’ point of view. Sadly we noticed the jumpy starts in first gear from the start, awful when pulling out from our side road onto a very busy road as it feels like we’re taking a chance every time. If VW fix this issue, then we would have no complaints at all, but for VW to say this problem is not a safety issue is disgraceful in my opinion.

How reliable do you find the car?

Not actually broken down however experienced kangaroo jumping since new!

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

Very disappointed in VW dealership who, when approached about the kangarooing issue, said “ oh I’ve been having that issue, but thought it was just me” then referred us to VW. On contacting VW they said to speak to the dealer, feels like we were passed from pillar to post
