Alfa Romeo 145 2.0 Cloverleaf 3d (1997/P) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Compared to a Mk3 Golf, mines the daddy.
Costs
Parts are expensive, avoid dealers.

On the road
Driving
Brilliant on motorway, too much body roll on the twisty stuff. Needs stiffer suspension, but I don't want to lower it because the sump nearly bottoms out on the road. Good brakes with plenty of feed back.
Performance
Nice engine that loves to rev. Airbox strangles breathing, fit an induction kit and listen to that healthy gasp.

Living with it
Reliability
Despite the brittle Alfa reputation, this beast is pretty solid. Just feel the weight of those doors. Wipers are naff, low engine liner is a waste of time and always falls of.
Image
First impression it looks like a wedge! However, it looks sexier every glance. As you're walking away you can't help turning round for a good bye look. All style.
Comfort
Upright driving position is comfortable, and the Momo leather is gorgeous. Plenty of room in the front. Lacks space in the back.

Security and Service
Security
Just don't loose that red key!
Service
About as useful as a wheel on a walking stick.
