Economy
Value
Depreciation a bit steep but worth every penny for the style. Great second-hand buy, especially if you can get a low mileage 1 year old when the first year's depreciation has steadied in line with Audi, BMW etc.
Costs
Not bad, standard service every 12k. Had no extra costs for it's first 3 services - now at 44k miles.

On the road
Driving
Easy to drive, light handling - I drive 80 miles a day on the M25 and copes with crawling traffic easily. Also has enough poke in 5th gear to make motorway driving a doddle.
Performance
Good acceleration, not the quickest if you like speed (I also have a Honda Type R) but fast enough.

Living with it
Reliability
Had no problems at all in 3 years. Another 4 colleagues all have a 51 or 52 plate and no-one has had any reliability issues. Same can't be said for colleagues with the VW Golf TDi I'm afraid.
Image
It's Italian and it's stylish. Don't look like the average sales man on the road, ditch the Audi and the BMW and get yourself some style with an Alfa!! Moving up and treating myself to the GT next!!
Comfort
Very comfortable, I do 80 miles a day and I have a back problem and the lumbar support is perfect for a 5 ft 4 petite woman.
