Summary
What does this car say about you?
It says you have style, you have enough about your personality to overlook the comments made about dodgy Italian electrics. You know that despite a few niggly faults, the car is an extension of your family!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Everybody loves it.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Definitely, it's been a most enjoyable experience.
What are you likely to buy next?
Probably the default, an Alfa 159 Sportwagon. It's such a shame they didn't make the Spider in an automatic.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£4,100
When did you buy the car?
October 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
The beauty of it. Previously I had owned a 2003 BMW MINI and wanted something that had that equal 'wow' factor.
What was the dealer like?
-
Driving it
What's it like to drive?
A complete winner all round, perfectly pin-sharp, engine revs right up to the red-line and you couldn't possibly deny this car a B-road. Nothing this size drives like it.
What's it like to park?
It's not too bad, good rear visibility and short overhangs.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
A few things, just the usual which I had researched before buying the car. Rear electric window regulator has gone on nearside. No huge issue as I never carry people in the back. Oh, and it's love of oil! Must check the oil every time you fill up with fuel, it has a passion for it! Never smokes, though.
What's most practical about your car?
5 doors, not a true estate but definitely the most practical Alfa money could buy.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
MOMO Leather... or the Selespeed gearbox. Both are fantastic.
