Alfa Romeo 159 Saloon (2006 - 2011) 1.9 JTDM 16v Lusso 4d Owner Review

In their own words
I really like the car, drives amazingly well even on the 18" alloys, really comfortable on long journeys, and it's generally a nice place to be. So far I've got pretty good fuel consumption considering I live in the country and there's a lot of winding back roads, averaging around 47-50 MPG. The standard stereo is pretty good as far as standard stereos go. It has all the kit you expect from a car like this, cruise control, electric seats, electric windows all round, dual zone climate control, automatic headlights and wipers etc. The engine is great, plenty of power and torque when you want it, and it returns 50MPG with ease, it's amazingly quiet for a diesel, especially on long journeys, it has a nice long top gear so it's barely stressed when cruising at 70, there is a fair amount road noise from the tyres but that's probably down to the big alloys. Boot space isn't bad but it's not massive, and it would be nice to have a few more places to put things in the front. Everything you touch feels like it's built to a good standard, the steering wheel feels nice, the gear knob has a great feel to it,but possibly a bit of a long throw between 3rd and 4th. The dials are very nicely styled and simple to read, it also has a boost gauge which on a diesel is a bit odd but it's Italian so why not, the multifunction display is easy to read and use with the indicator and wiper stalk with plenty of options to play around with. Overall I think it's a brilliant car, a bit more interesting than an A4 or 3 series, and it's a nice stylish break from the norm.
