What does this car say about you?

I wanted something different to the,( and my) usual. Sure Audi, BMW etc make reliable and efficient cars but they are very bland and boring (apart from 6 series BMW and the Audi R8 - both out of my price range). In three months of ownership I've only seen 7, yes 7 Brera's on the road (none of them broken down by the way) it's great to drive something so exclusive for normal car money.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Everyone I've spoken to loves the looks but they all worry about Alfa reliability, although none of them have ever owned one!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Absolutely, no reason not too. Would love a newer one, if I can afford it and will wait and hope that Alfa produce something equally as beautiful in the future for when I win the lottery (8C would be nice).

What are you likely to buy next?

No plans to change currently. Alfa only do two regular cars now (Mito and Guilletta - Mito is a bit small and Guillettas a bit of a family car so really hoping something new comes out in a couple of years.

    Independent

Did you buy this car new?

    No

    £0

When did you buy the car?

    August 2012

Did you get a good deal and why?

Deal was ok, part ex'd my Z4 which seemed to have depreciated quicker than any Alfa Romeo ever could.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Always loved the look of them.

    What was the dealer like?

Was fine, small independent, done the deal there and then. No negatives really.

    What's it like to drive?

Really enjoy driving it. Soaks up all those pot holes that our road tax never seems to fund, and drives smooth as anything on the motorway, cruises effortlessly from 2000 rpm and pulls away nicely when you need it for overtaking.

    What's it like to park?

Much easier than my Z4! I'm use to cars with poor visibility as I've previously had coupes and my Z4 (with the roof up) had pretty poor rear visibility. I have the standard rear parking sensors but its's pretty staright forward to parrk. I usually find a space away from others in supermarkets etc as too many people can't park their own cars.

Have you had any problems with the car?

I thought the boot release button and the passenger door had both packed in on me, but after reading on the excellent Alfa Forum, relaised it was just a seeting that need to be changed on the computer, both working fine now. Absolutley no other problems.

What's most practical about your car?

I didn't buy this car for practicallity! The back seat isn't much use, but I don't care as I have no kids. The boot is a good size and plenty of load space if you put the rear seats down. But again, I didn't buy it for practical purposes, get a van if oyu have loads of stuff to cart around. Don't spoil such a nice car.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

It has everything I need in a car, although maybe would like an Ipod connection as it only has a single cd player but it's not the end of the world. The retractable sun blind lightens the cabin and makes it feel airey and more spacious in the cabin.
