What does this car say about you?

I am not one of the boring sheep as mentioned earlier in my review.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Everyone loves it's looks and it's part retro, part modern dash board.

Would you buy this car again and why?

I certainly would buy this car again. The road holding is fantastic, it feels as solid as my previous Volvo C30, a marque known for it's sturdiness. Regardless of Alfa's previous build quality issues, they have obviously overcome it's poor reputation from the past. I feel I have gone into possibly too much detail in this review, it only proves how impressed I am with the car.

What are you likely to buy next?

After only two weeks, I have caught the Alfa bug, it's in my blood now and provided this car proves to be reliable over the next three years, my next car will be an Alfa Romeo, their cars have a soul!!

Did you get a good deal and why?

The deal wasn't anything out of the ordinary but it was a fair exchange for a fantastic purchasing experience.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

To avoid being one of the BMW, Audi or VW sheep!! I prefered something with style!!

What was the dealer like?

The dealer was 6 star, Alexanders of Thornaby on Tees. I had to wait from the end of October 2011 until the 2nd week January for delivery, because of the release of the TCT automatic which I wanted. The dealership were so patient, keeping me informed all the way and answered a constant flow of questions from me during that time. I experienced a detailed hand over of the car like never before!!

What's it like to drive?

Fantastic!! The 1.4 petrol multiair turbo engine is nothing short of a miracle. The power is amazing and sounds like a 3 litre V6 at certain revs. After having driven 2 X 2 litre diesels over the last six years I was a little worried, but I had nothing to worry about, it's quiet, smooth, too early to tell re the MPG and powerful!

What's it like to park?

I am not the best parker in the world but the tight lock and reversing sensors make it a doddle. Vision through the rear window isn't fantastic but the reversing sensors compensate for that.

Have you had any problems with the car?

I have only had it for two weeks, I had to return to the dealer today ONLY to have a door adjusted, which was dealt with in the same efficient way as the purchasing experience!

What's most practical about your car?

It has all the usual practicalities of a medium size family hatch but very little storage space inside the cabin which is a shame as the design is beautiful and well put together.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The TCT auto gearbox, smoother than VW's DSG and Volvo's Powershift autos. There are too many "standard" gadgets to list that I like but the "DNA" is very useful and the "Blue and Me" bluetooth is exceptional.
