Alfa Romeo Giulietta (2010 - 2020) 2.0 JTDM Lusso 5d Owner Review

In their own words
We have owned this car since 2015, it was 5 years old and had done 60,000 miles. It not has 110,000 miles on the clock. I have always loved Alfas as they are a bit different to the mainstream, and despite what many people will say they had always been reliable for me up to this one. The best part of the car is the exterior styling, however other than that feel a bit let down by the vehicle. It has been pretty reliable other than a few small issues, mostly relating to the interior. Basically it feels poorly built out materials which feel cheap and many bits have broken, gearknob top, dash top compartment, steering wheel buttons, I have had issues with the material on the seats fraying and had to buy a new seat and the driver sun visor will not stay in position. There is also evidence that the dash hasn't been assembled correctly with uneven gaps in places, and it sufferes from lots of rattles and squeaks. The driving position isn't great as the seat is too high and too small, and the shape of the console means you cannot get your left leg over to the left far enough. The car however is nice to drive, but lacks involvement like Alfa's of old with stiff springs and dampers which are not really up to the job. It feels like another Eurobox. The engine is a 170bhp Diesel so performance is punchy, unfortunately the engine is very loud for a relatively modern car with lots of Diesel clatter. This might sound like I hate the car, but it has done ok for us and my wife enjoys driving it. We will not be rushing out to buy another though.
