Economy
Value
Excellent value, especially the diesel version. Alfa haven't skimped on the quality of materials used. It undercuts the BMW 3 series Coupe and comes very well equiped in standard form.
Costs
I average 45 mpg with the diesel. Servicing is every 12000 miles.

Driving
Smooth and refined. A true grand tourer. Rear visibility isn't too good when reversing, the optional rear parking sensors are well worth specifying. The turning circle is quite large too for this size of car.
Performance
The diesel is punchy and very smooth with bags of torque. And it's so quiet you really wouldn't know its a diesel. A car with real character - for all the right reasons.

Living with it
Reliability
No problems so far. It feels very solid and well screwed together. No rattles or squeeks. Alfa seem to be getting their act together. This is their best car for decades.
Image
A real head turner. Such an elegant and purposeful shape. So much classier than the ubiquitous BMW 3 Series Coupe and the ugly duckling Mazda RX8.
Comfort
The seating position is good and the front seats are very comfortable with good side support to the squab and back rest. Adjustable lumbar support too. The back seat is ok for short journeys, but don't believe the claims that this a five seater. It isn't.

Security and Service
Security
Well up to modern standards.
Service
I bought this car from a Fiat dealer. Excellent service, but it was not an authorised Alfa dealer, so I can't comment on the service from Alfa Romeo.
