Alfa Romeo GT 1.9 JTD 16V M-jet 2d (2004/54) Owner Review

Economy
Value
This car is a bargain compared to German equivalents particularly when you add extras. Residuals should be good for the JTD, because they are made to order frustratingly slowly!
Costs
Fuel economy for me so far averages 42mpg with a mixture of city and A road driving. With regard to other costs i've only had the car a few weeks so don't know yet.

Driving
The ride is solid and smooth even on the 17"" alloys which are a must. This was the aspect of Alfas that most worried me as I don't like a ride that is too firm, but test drive the car and you'll see it's a really nice ride.
Performance
Very quiet diesel engine with immense power. It really feels sporty and takes corners effortlessly. You notice a slight turbo lag when flooring the accelerator, but the high torque figures mean the power stays with you up the gears.

Living with it
Reliability
So far, so good!
Image
This car looks even better in the flesh and gets seriously stared at, when driving. Despite this I wouldn't say it's an ostentatious car, but exudes individuality and Italian style. I still grin every time I get into it!
Comfort
I have the leather seats which are very comfortable. They have height and lumbar adjustment and there is a folding driver armrest which is great for long journeys. Some say the seats are not so comfortable for those of a 'portly' build

Security and Service
Security
The security spec seems good, more than that I can't say.
Service
Too early to say
