Economy
Value
You can't get a better looking car with this level of spec for less money. Insurance costs the same as my old Peugeot. Only concern is depreciation.
Costs
Fuel economy of the 1.9 JTD isn't quite as good as I'd first expected, but it's still better than a petrol. Dealer costs are high and the service isn't great.

On the road
Driving
Generally good. The electronic aids are very unobtrusive and do a good job. The quick steering is a delight but it's lacking in feel. Pure grip is good and will get you out of trouble.
Performance
The 1.9 diesel has more torque than the 3.2 V6 petrol. Need I say more. Brakes are undersized. 17" wheel brake spec should be the minimum.

Living with it
Reliability
Mine's 14 months old and has 17,200 miles on the clock. It's suffered one minor electrical connection failure to the reverse lights, fixed quickly by dealer under warranty. No breakdowns, everything still works.

Comfort
Leather seats are good and firm, ride quality is average to poor over imperfect surfaces, which is sadly, all UK roads.

Security and Service
Security
Thatcham 1 security, 6 airbags, ABS, TC, VDC (bosch DSC).
Service
I found a good salesman when I bought mine. I've also had a good experience with another dealer on warranty work. However I was left very disappointed with service from a 3rd dealership. They diagnosed a blown light bulb as a faulty ECU. Nuff said.
