Summary
What does this car say about you?
"Not one of the crowd".
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They probably think I'm slightly mad but I love the car so why not!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes I would, but they are all getting old now so probably not.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another 2-door coupe, but Alfa no longer make one, so probably a Scirocco.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£10,750
When did you buy the car?
February 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
Price was on the high side but dealer did a good job of ensuring this 4-year old car was fettled to a high standard.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
The looks!
What was the dealer like?
Buying was a very pleasant experience, servicing less so and I rapidly switched to an independent for servicing.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Delightful, even more fun than the BMW 3-series I had previously. Lots of 'road feel' and precise, high-geared steering.
What's it like to park?
Poor visibility to the rear (it's like trying to reverse whilst inside a pillar box!) so the parking sensors are essential. Don't buy one without them.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Yes but it is now close to 7 years old so some work is expected - new battery, new shock absorbers, cam belt, etc.
What's most practical about your car?
It looks gorgeous and yet it is a full four-seater with good load-carrying capacity. I am 6'4" and there's lots of legroom for me. 48 mpg easily achieved, over 50 on long journeys.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Red leather seats!
