Summary
What does this car say about you?
A little bit different. Alfas are not on too many buyers lists owing to (unfairly) their reliability reputation. I like the fact it's the only one in the car park at work.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
You've bought another Alfa, are you nuts? Ooooh, isn't it gorgeous.
Would you buy this car again and why?
In a heartbeat. There's nothing else on the road that gives so much for so little.
What are you likely to buy next?
I looked at the Brera but there's something odd going on at the back. Now that I have the GT I can't see past it. Ask me again in a couple of years.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£11,500
When did you buy the car?
September 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
Bought for £11,500 just as the credit crunch was taking hold, car was a shade over 2 years old with 29K on the clock. Black, black leather, Bose, winter pack.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Previously owned Alfa 156, wanted a GT ever since I first saw one.
What was the dealer like?
N/A

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Turning circle visible from space, armrest gets in the way of the handbrake. 1.9JTDm has loads of pulling power mid range - staggering really.
What's it like to park?
Rear visibility is poor, sensors help. We're having an extension built and the builder left a little pile of bricks on the drive, sensors failed to pick them up, cracked light and £35 to fix.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
One of the reversing sensors has packed up. Little more wind noise that I'd like from the driver's window. Hope to get these rectified under warranty at the next service.
What's most practical about your car?
Who buys an Alfa for practicality?
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Last couple of days it's been the heated seats.
