Alfa Romeo GTV 2.0 TS 16V 2d (1997/R) Owner Review

-
Economy
Value
Getting a bit more affordable, but still looks the mutt's nuts.
Costs
Decent fuel economy for a 2.0 sportscar, and insurance also reasonable (mind you, I am over 35.)

On the road
Driving
Hilarious! Definitely one of the most fun cars I've ever driven. The engine sounds just amazing, the Alpine CD player I fitted hardly gets used at all.
Performance
Pulls well in all gears, variable valve timing really comes into its own at higher revs. Redlines at 7000rpm!

Living with it
Reliability
I bought the car with 100k on the clock, and it is still as new.
Image
Unbeatable for the money. No other coupe can touch the GTV for the blend of class and sportiness it exudes. Lads, if you can't pull in one of these, you are doing something wrong!
Comfort
Leather seats are very supportive though do get a bit ""slidy"" when you are chucking the car through the bends. Ride is firm, but the car is an Alfa GTV, what do you expect? Boot space is a joke, and rear seats are only for people you don't like.

Security and Service
Security
Seems adequate.
Service
Alfa dealers have a bad rep, and take decades to obtain parts etc.
