Economy
Value
I bought an 11 month old demonstrator, with 8000 miles on it in mint condition, with lots of extras and saved £6k off list!
Costs
I'm glad it was under warranty, a lot's gone wrong.

On the road
Driving
Sticks to the road like it's on rails. Haven't come near to losing it.
Performance
Don't buy a 2 litre for performance. It'll keep up with most things though. Just don't try racing BMW's…

Living with it
Reliability
It's let me down twice - both times I left the light switch in the on position and ran the battery down. There's no warning noise but the lights go out when the ignition is turned off so why does it run the battery flat? Answers on a postcard...
Image
I still just sit and look at it. Design genius.
Comfort
I bought one despite having back problems. The Spider hasn't improved things! On the other hand, I can do a 250 mile run without needing traction afterwards - just about.

Security and Service
Security
I wouldn't want to leave it in a city car park - it attracts too much attention. The wind sets the alarm off with monotonous regularity and the dealer doesn't seem to be able to adjust the sensitivity.
Service
I was worried having seen other reviews but I've got nothing but praise for the dealer. Also see comments under ""costs""
