Alfa Romeo Spider (2007 - 2010) 3.2 V6 JTS Q4 2d QTRONIC Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I purchased a 939 Alfa Spider 3.2 JTS Q4 Q-tronic in Alfa Red, 2008 with 60k miles on the clock.
On a long test drive everything worked fine and we agreed a price.
A year later I sold it as I had no confidence in it's reliability and therefore no enjoyment in driving what is a beautiful piece of sculpture and that should have been a joy to own and drive.
It started with a misfire that despite multiple visits to my local Alfa indie garage, all plugs and coils replaced was never fixed. Then there was the electric windows that had a mind of their own and rarely returned to the right position after operating the roof.
Then there was the roof itself...................... it was a gamble if it made it up and if it did, would it make it down again? Replacing the hydraulic fluid would fix it for a week or so (I feel guilty that this was long enough to make sure it worked when I sold it on to the next mug, oops enthusiast!).
For the same money I then purchased a Mercedes SL 350 with similar mileage, same year, built with quality components and materials that give confidence of being built to last.
They say that everyone should own an Alfa at some point in their life, well I've been there and done that, but my advice is to ignore that, keep your money in your pocket or spend it on something German.
