Aston Martin DB11 Coupe (2016-2023) verdict
Should you buy an Aston Martin DB11?
There’s not a bad choice in the range. The V8 and V12 engines offer different things to different people and they both suit the car’s demeanour wonderfully. The interior is as deliciously appointed as it is a bit old hat, and it offers an imperious drive.
A Bentley Continental is more comfortable, a Ferrari Roma lighter and sharper and a Porsche 911 is ultimately nearly as fast and costs a lot less.
If you can accept the notion of there being objectively better cars on the market and you have a lot of money burning a hole in your pocket, regularly cover large distances and you want to get where you’re going comfortably and very quickly, we can wholeheartedly recommend a DB11.
What we like
The hardware may not be that well disguised, but the interior still retains the beautiful bespoke feel of an Aston. The engine selection is epic and it’s not all that impractical. Comfortable too.
What we don’t like
Even compared with its rivals, it’s pretty expensive. Other cars are a bit sharper to drive or more comfortable, or in some cases, both.
