Summary
What does this car say about you?
I sold it as I had a guilt trip with regards to fuel, CO2 emissions etc and regretted it ever since. I am determined to get another one though and ignore criticism and just enjoy it, the car symbolises my dream come true.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Anyone who saw it loved it, guaranteed head turner. The shape, the sound, the seats, the interior, the sound system... need Igo on? lol.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Definitely buy again, would do more checking up first, price-wise, extended warranty (which you get 12 months free with Aston dealer worth £1,800) and this time use the car for what's it meant for, fun fun and more fun and don't think about fuel or being eco friendly all the time.
What are you likely to buy next?
I will sell my Jaguar and buy a cheaper run around like Mondeo or cheaper Jag and get myself another Aston Martin Vantage as the weekender. I can then once again live the dream :-).

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£42,000
When did you buy the car?
March 2011
Did you get a good deal and why?
Not a good deal. I rushed into it, case of heart over-ruling brain. Paid over the odds, dealer didn't know how various things worked (like Aston approved post fitted MP3 and Bluetooth). Bluetooth had been removed and dealer never even checked. They also didn't know how to powerfold the mirrors in, no checks done by dealer so didn't know that it has Aston Martin extended warranty so I bought another one which overlapped. Ppretty bad experience but that's a non-Aston dealer. I would never buy from a non-franchised dealership.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I have always wanted a Jaguar and an Aston, I realised the Jaguar a few years ago but never thought I could even consider an Aston Martin until I saw seocnd-hand priced.
What was the dealer like?
Over confident, amateurish and in my view very, very poor from start of sale to end. Of course I only fully appreciated this after I had completed the purchase of the car.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
As the car is quite short against say the DBb9 or other sports cars like Jaguar its handling I found very responsive. I felt confdient hitting corners at good speed, road holding was out of this world.
What's it like to park?
Reversing parking sensors, phew, would never have the confidence to park it without them, due to car being small it was relatively easy to park and soon got the confidence up when you try and forget you are driving the worlds top manufacturers car.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing went wrong with it in the 12 months I owned it, absolutely fantastic, superb and reliable car.
What's most practical about your car?
You do not buy this car for practicality, it's a wonderful big boys' toy, very comfy ride over long distances (Midlands to Assen, Holland, 600 miles), only break was for ferry.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
MP3 is a must for me. Aston approved post fitted accessory now fitted as standard I think. When the engine was running I sometimes forgot the iPod as the engine running was music to my ears.
