Audi 80 Saloon 1.8 S 4d (1991/H) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
So much car for so little money.
Costs
Next to nothing. Cheap on fuel and only tyres required.
-
On the road
Driving
Suprisingly good, however steering is vague.
Performance
Quicker than equivalent Vectras, etc... Much more impressive than lesser models.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Few coolant problems and an engine mount, but still managed to do 58,000 miles in 10 months! Presently on 198,000 miles and stronger than ever.
Image
Excellent.
Comfort
Very good. Seats slightly on the firm side and boot big enough for a box of cereal, but still more comfortable than the Rover which replaced it!
-
Security and Service
Security
Ignition on the Dash, excellent idea. Thieves are too busy trying to workout what 'versprung deutsch technique' means!
Service
Didn't use them! Plenty of spares readily available from specalists.

Problems and Ownership
