Audi A2 1.4 TDI SE 5d (2001/51) Owner Review

-
Economy
Value
Expensive new, but better nearly new. Good retained value makes it worth it.
Costs
Running costs excellent. Up to 80mpg and 30,000 mile servicing at £220 a go.
-
On the road
Driving
Go-kart handling make it fun, although it bounces a bit on rough roads in common with other short wheel-base cars.
Performance
Much pokier than you would expect. Pulls nicely from 3rd gear onwards and leaves the petrol version for dead.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Excellent so far, and nothing's fallen off yet either.
Image
Not to everyone's taste, but exclusive, desirable and best in this sector.
Comfort
Multi-adjustable everything makes for a good driving position. Slightly cramped footwell and lack of shoulder support on standard seats the only gripes.

Security and Service
Security
Looks good so far - i.e. no one's tried (and succeeded) in nicking it!
Service
No full service required yet, but very helpful in ordering spare parts such as wiper blades.
