Audi A3 Cabriolet (2008 - 2013) 2.0 T FSI 2d Owner Review

In their own words
Honestly, don't worry about mpg and buying the diesel engine versions, the 2.0 Turbo is straight out of the Golf GTi and it shows, with such a smooth sweet engine which with 200bhp really does put a big smile on your face when having fun but is also very reassuring when overtaking on single lane roads or cruising on the motorways.
The running costs aren't bad at all, insurance is pretty low considering and I average between 28 and 42mpg depending on the journey.
Plenty of room in the back for passengers and a very roomy boot (which is slightly awkward to get stuff in and out of).
The cabin feels expensive and the driving position for me is perfect. Stick decent tyres on it and it handles great, I use Michelin Pilot Sport 4's, can't fault them.
Down sides, exhaust note is very quiet and flat, could just be a 1.6, standard radio doesn't sound great but plugging in my phone through the aux port sounds very good, Audi garages are expensive but any independent can work on these easily. Passengers have commented that the back seats are not the most comfortable on long journeys.
How reliable do you find the car?
The car is very well made apart from little niggles, the dust flap on the ignition barrel got stuck and the catch on the centre armrest broke but other than that it's been very reliable.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
In my opinion it's the best cabriolet in its class, awesome fun with the roof down but still a good car in the rain with the roof up.About their car
