Audi A3 Cabriolet (2014 - 2020) Sport 1.5 TFSI 150PS 2d Owner Review

Having owned a number of Seat Ibizas, VW Polos, VW Golfs and a Mark 5 Golf GTi, my wife and I were ready to move up to an Audi A3 cabriolet as our final purchase before retirement, after VW ceased to produce the Golf cabriolet. A friend had owned an A3 hatchback, so we were familiar with the car, but we were amazed by the feel and comfort when we test drove one. The dealer (Tamworth Audi) was fantastic and made the purchase go very smoothly, with good tracking of the car's manufacture available as well on the Audi website. When we received the car, it was all with hoped for and more, with great styling, wonderful comfort and a tremendous drive. We were fortunate when we ordered that Audi had just increased the engine spec from 1.4 litres to 1.5 litres, which gave the TFSI engine extra power and performance. We had known the TFSI engine in the Golf and were aware of the power it gave, which I can say felt quite similar to the wonderful Golf GTi power and performance, albeit in a slightly smaller engine. We added heated seating in the winter pack and that was well worth having, giving 3 levels of heated comfort to the bottom and back of the seat in cold weather. At the point of reviewing, we have had the car for 3 years and it sailed through its first MOT. The mileage is still low because we use a smaller car as a local runaround vehicle, saving the Audi longer journeys. However, it is always extremely comfortable and great to drive, whatever the conditions or place.
