Audi A3 (1996 - 2003) 1.6 3d Owner Review

Brilliant and utterly reliable with minimal maintenance. Still has original exhaust and suspension all mechanicals after 145,000 miles, cruises effortlessly on motorways, handles well and can straddle a road hump ( so no slowing down). It is still whisper quiet and returns 40-45mpg on a careful motorway run. Galvanised body is yet to have its first rust spot. If the current modelsdid not have those crappy auto handbrakes and lower headroom I would buy another tomorrow
