Economy
Value
Second hand models are coming right down in price, since the release of the newer shape. Still big demand however so still value for money.
Costs
Generally quite good apart from it can be a bit thirsty on fuel. Services are very expensive compared to most cars, cheaper than most BMWs, SAABs, Alfa Romeos but expensive even at non-franchise/audi dealership garages. Last service was nearly £300.

Driving
Nice car to drive. Smooth controls throughout. Handles well with uprated suspension.
Performance
Good performance for a 1.6 engine. The sports badge does make a difference at times. I added a KN air Filter to this car which made a small but noticeable difference.

Living with it
Reliability
Just minor technicals to let it down. Problem with the battery cutting out after been started.
Image
Beginning to look slightly outdated in appearance. Newer shape is more modern and refined. Prefer the S3 with its lower profile, made by the extra bodykit parts.
Comfort
Reasonable comfort, sports seats very stiff. Cramped in the back.
