Value
You will be hard puched to find cars, which hold their value as well as a sought after A3.
Costs
Whilst costly, this is a car you need to drive and you will appreciate the additional cost for reliability, image and style.

Driving
If have not yet had a drive in a TDI, then try the 130bhp and you will never think of a Diesel in the same way. No rattle or smoke, but instead a pleasant rumble when accelerating.
Performance
This car will surprise most people. For a Diesel, this car is very quick.

Living with it
Reliability
I purchased this car in July 2002 and have driven 8,500 miles in 7 months and I have had no problems.
Image
You will rarely find an image of style and prestige like in an Audi.
Comfort
This car is very comfortable for two and the driving position is very good. Fortunately for us, the lack of rear leg and headroom is not a problem. Make sure rear passengers are less than 5' 8".

Security and Service
Security
I have the upgraded Audi alarm system for the A3 and have had no problems with.
Service
I imported this car directly from an Audi Dealer in Germany for £18,800. As you can imagine, the A3 Quattro Sport 5-dr at £20k OTR (in my case £25,500 RRP with all the toys) is a lot of money.
