-
Economy
Value
Poor quality from an expensive car - frequent faults and failures. Build quality inferior to previous generation Audi 80/90.
Costs
Day-to-day economy excellent, but more than offset by hugely expensive spares costs, needed at over-frequent intervals.
-
On the road
Driving
Fine in dry and wet conditions, but relatively poor in snow.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Engine runs reliably, but car is plagued by excessive number of parts failures, which are very expensive to fix.
Comfort
Front legroom marginal if over 1.85 metres. Rear legroom poor. Seats are unsupportive on journeys over 3 hours.
-
Security and Service
Security
Never stolen, but intermittent alarm faults get me up in the night about once every 2 months.
Service
Careless, expensive.

Problems and Ownership

Engine
Air sensor failure resulted in power loss, otherwise faultless.
Other
More faults and failures in 70k miles than previous cars in 400k miles - catalyst, suspension links (twice), alarm (intermittent), seat airbag (intermittent), front discs 5 times in one year, rear wiper, offside brake light bulbs every 6 months.
