Well stupid me. I replaced my first Audi A4 with another later design hoping a number of the stupid design flaws had been rectified. Well at least this one did not floor due to stupidly placed drain holes under the battery !
I spent a great deal of money and time fixing numerous issues. Replaced the throttle body, alternator and spend months arguing with Audi over a well know issue with the injectors on this car whihc were replaced by a dealer prior to me taking delivery whihc then failed. Oh and the wiring loom was replaced too.
The car often went into limp home mode and even when running OK MPG was vastly less than claimed and whilst performance was OK the Saab TTid I replaced it with is a far better power unit.
Everything on the Saab was ludicrously expensive, £750 for a new front bumper. The stupid prices resulted in the car being written of. It would not have been a write off had items such as the oil cooler being better positioned in the engine bay.
Overall I won;t shed a tear for this car. The only thing I miss was the excellent stereo with amazing Bose speakers and subwoofer. Perfect for drowning out the clattery smookey diesel engine.
How reliable do you find the car?
Poor reliability just like previous Audi I had. Numerous issues not always causing breakdowns.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Great interior and sound system but regualr ijectior and wiring loom issues caused poor ebgine peorfmance and lousy MPG. You won't ever see the claim 60mpg unlike the Saab 9_3 TTid I replaced it with which will.About their car
