Summary
What does this car say about you?
It doesn't really say anything. Until you spot the tasteful body kit and the 2 tailpipes it's just a regular A4.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Friends and family love it. My dad borrowed it to go to south of France last week and struggled to hand the keys back.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Probably not this particular model as by the time i've run this up to 90-100k it'll be getting on a bit but i'd definitely look at the current RS4's and RS6's.
What are you likely to buy next?
Like I said, maybe a current model RS4 once they're sub £20k for a good example.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£17,500
When did you buy the car?
January 2014
Did you get a good deal and why?
The car has most of the factory options. The original owner had had a Miltek stainless system and CAT fitted and performance filter panels, aswell as a remap. The car only has 45k miles on the clock but cost the same as some of the more higher milage examples.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I'd always loved these when they were new. I needed a workhorse for when I need more space than the GTR. It had to be exciting to drive but comfy, practical and didnt stand out too much.
What was the dealer like?
No problems. BMW franchise who had took it in as part-ex on a new M5.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Superb. The RS4 is exciting to drive on the country lanes and grips to anything but it calms down nicely on the motorway, a comfortable cruiser just like a regular 2.0 TDI A4, but never lets you forget there's all that power waiting.
What's it like to park?
No harder than any other estate/tourer on the market. Advanced parking helps though but I could manage fine without it.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No problems yet. 1 puncture but that's not the car's fault.
What's most practical about your car?
The boot. I don't carry alot for work, the GTR does fine, but for the times I need alot of kit, camping trips, bike rides, trips to B&Q it is perfect. It's why I wanted a second car..
