Whoever said “don’t meet your heroes” was wrong. I’ve wanted an RS2, then RS4 since I was able to drive. I bought this because it was in the right place at the right time - I wasn’t even looking to change my car. One drive and I was hooked. This car is truly epic!
As a family car, ferrying kids around and taking the dog places it is a mild mannered practical estate car. As a daily commuter, it has eaten thousands of motorway miles in absolute comfort. As a weekend weapon it will outpace (and out corner) most cars on the road. It is an iconic all rounder.
I bought this car thinking it may be my last chance to have a big engined performance car, before we are all resigned to electric or hybrid to stop us killing the planet. I can tell you now, when I’m gasping my last breath, you’ll have to pry the keys to this beast out of my hand!!
How reliable do you find the car?
Shock absorbers making noises they shouldn’t, but replaced under warranty.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Faster than pretty much everything, even with 4 adults and a boot full, in the snow, while sounding like Thor gargling with a hammer. No other car so capable exists.About their car
