Economy
Value
Bought at 6 years old in top condition and low mileage so should be low depreciation.
Costs
Reasonable, had far worse with Renault! Tyres £70 each, full service £200, cambelt change £300 all in.
-
On the road
Driving
It's on rails, but would rather rear wheel drive.
Performance
Feels a lot more than 150bhp due to the turbo, very smooth and controlled.

Living with it
Reliability
Dodgy waste-gate control valve and wiring made turbo lumpy soon after I bought it. Fixed under dealer's warrenty, no faults since. Just had MOT - no problems.
Image
Still smart/ sporty looking - especially from the rear, although just starting to look it's age up against the new A4.
Comfort
Up front it's good, although you feel the bumps. Apparently the rear seats are cramped......apparently

Security and Service

Service
Done at a VW garage (I live in Cornwall!), gave helpful feedback.
