-
Economy
Value
Not cheap to buy, but holds value.
Costs
Cheaper than my old Punto to run - 650 miles on a tank.
-
On the road
Driving
Solid and predictable - not sporty though.
Performance
Low end torque ok, but flattens out midway in rev range - 110 would be better.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Suspension problems. Gearbox replaced at 125k miles. Not a rattle though (159k miles!) Lately, problems with immobiliser key - not starting.
Image
Better than a Mondeo/Vectra and less poncy than a BMW.
Comfort
Pedal offset a bit awkward; great for long journeys.

Security and Service
Security
Never lock it!
Service
Too expensive, but high quality.

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Bombproof (160k miles and never missed a beat).
