Economy
Value
800 miles from the 15 gallons is achievable, but I only get about 550 around town - but it's so nice to drive, I might start taking the scenic route to work.
Costs
I bought it 2 years old, by which time it was £8k less than its new price, who knows what it'll be worth in another 2 years, but I'd like to think I'll keep it for a while.

On the road
Driving
The smooth delivery of power c/o the turbo is great, but limited at 4500 revs - sometimes you need to change gear in a corner which isn't ideal!!!
Performance
It's not a VR6, but we get too old for those expensive toys, in the UK driving climate, it's more than adequate 70mph (ahem) is effortless thanks to the 130mph top speed

Living with it
Reliability
Too early to tell.
Image
Anonymous quality - everyone knows it's a class act, but no one notices it - sorry BM owners, but there are too many of those about, the A4 is something special.
Comfort
The best thing is that the passenger seat has the same functions as the driver - lumbar support etc. The only regret is that there isn't a memory on the settings after the better half has been driving it, it takes ages to get it back to normal.

Security and Service
Security
It's only when you read the manual that you appreciate the security, the radio knows which car its from, even if you disconnect it, you don't need the code.
Service
Too early to tell, but hopefully better than VW.
