In their own words
I bought this car a few months back, mechanically its a strong engine that blends reasonable performance with good MPG when on the motorway, different story if its around town. This car outside of mechanical is quite bad, niggles will pop up one by one which will drive you mad, This is my first german car and I won't have another due to the way its put together and falls apart. You would think being an Audi, it has good level of quality in the way its screwed but the glovebox hinges are made of plastic which break, the boot handle works sometimes, the fob needs opening manually then inserting into the ignition then it will work, the A/C is non existent, the window has given up, the airbag light is on, the reverse lights have stopped working, the bulbs in tailights have the life of 5 minutes, the trim pieces have fallen apart that when I push the cupholder for instance, the trim piece pops out. It makes you think are you driving an Audi or a old french car.
I would recommend anyone who thinks about buying one, yes its good mechanically and looks great and is robust on the outside, to expect bad wear in the interior and niggles to pop up. I have given up hope and I have owned older cars with more miles that have been had less issues than this. It is comfortable but mind the sport as it has a stiffer ride than normal. Interior is well laid out and it has good level of space but seats don't fold down which I found is weird as its no sports car to start off with. Overall I will say, it may have been better when new but more than 10 years down the line on these cars, they do fall apart, so just mind that, but mechanically, this PD130 engine is super strong as long as its serviced correctly.
