Summary
What does this car say about you?
That i prefer subtle understated lines rather than the more challenging looks of the later BMW range.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Very impressed
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes probably, but id either go for a 2.7 or 3.0 TDI with Quattro.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another A4 or possibly an A6 saloon

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£14,500
When did you buy the car?
June 2007
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes the deal was very good. Audi stoke gave me a good price for my part exchange and the Audi Approved Programme gave added peace of mind.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Engine was an immense improvement over the outdated 1.9 TDI 4 cylinder unit in my old A4. The 2.5 TDI puts this car back into the executive sector rather than the 'rep's motorway mile muncher'
What was the dealer like?
Sales were very helpful and provided an exeptional standard of service. The 'Audi 113 Point check' which is suppost to be carried about by the service departmentwasn't carried out to a sufficient standard in my opinion. The SatNav didn't work and niether did the Air conditioning. Not acceptable. Yet the issues were rectified by the next morning.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Excellent. Engine delivers smooth creamy acceleration accross the whole rev range and is totally at home on the motorway cruise. 6th gear just keeps on pulling all the way to 140mph. Soaks up potholes well and is smooth over many surfaces.
What's it like to park?
Parking sensors improve parking and the light steering help to make the car easily manoverable at low speeds. Good visability from all angles of the car.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Battery failed due to the SatNav draining the system. More evidence of the 113 point check not being carried out. Other than that, everything has being superb. Audi build quality really is a testament to time.
What's most practical about your car?
Enough space for 4 adults to travel in comfort and a vastly large boot.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Symphony stereo with Bose sound system is impressive and so is the satNav system. Leather was a bonus on the car too! The previous owner spent over £6000 on options, outstanding!
