Audi A4 Saloon (2008 - 2015) 2.0 TDI (143bhp) 4d Multitronic Owner Review

Some minor issues which I could easily live with but this is a vehicle which is fatally flawed by a few serious faults. 1) The offset seat to pedals angle is ridiculous. It’s obviously not designed for the UK market. 2) The multitronic gearbox is a big worry with it’s delayed take off from standstill and numerous complaints about gearbox failures from owners of earlier models. 3) The car can be stolen within 30 seconds with a cheap piece of electronics bought off eBay. It happened to my car. I phoned Audi UK to ask what they have done to new models to prevent this happening again if I was to purchase a nice new Audi for the wife but they denied the problem, just as the sales staff at my local Audi dealership denied any knowledge of the problem. The police certainly know about it. If you do already have an Audi or VW then buy a steering lock, this might make thieves move on from stealing your car. Also look at OBD port locks and maybe a tracker. I currently have three Audis, two of which are soon to be part exchanged but I certainly won’t be looking at another German car.
