Audi A5 Cabriolet (2017 - 2022) Sport (Technology Pack) 2.0 TFSI 190PS 2d Owner Review

Test drove both diesel and petrol versions, diesel good but I really wanted a manual and only available on the petrol. Diesel very refined but petrol even better, engine is silent and silky smooth on the move and pulls quite well considering the cars weight. This is a cruiser not a sports car, originally wanted a TT Convertible but fell for the A5 within minutes of driving it. The whole car is so gentle and refined, it just oozes class and a feeling of just wanting to waft around. I stuck with the standard 17 inch wheels so have the benefit of a super quiet and comfortable ride which adds to the level of refinement. Tech pack works well google earth maps are cool. Think at my age ( late 50's ) I have found the perfect car for me, fantastic open air motoring then with the roof up an ultra comfortable and quiet motorway muncher. Two cars in one. With the roof down, quite easy to have a normal conversation at 70mph with the wind deflector up. Impossible in the TT convertible, got blustery and noisy from about 55 mph upwards. Clearly the much longer A5 makes a big difference for higher speed open air motoring. Specced mine in white with the red roof and grey twin leather, happy with the combination. Attention to detail in the cabin is excellent, so many really neat touches, virtual cockpit worth the money, so is the B & O sound system as expected. The interior LED pack is a bargain at 100 quid with lots of strip LED lights around the cabin that you can change the colour of to suit mood !!!! If you are looking for a sports car, the A5 may not be the best choice, if you want a super comfortable cruiser it is perfect, puts a real smile on my face every time I drive it, no other car I have owned has done that !!! Treat yourself to one of these cars, you won't regret it !!
