Audi A6 Allroad (2000-2005) boot space, practicality and safety
The A6 scored reasonably well in the Euro NCAP crash tests – gaining three stars scored out of (at the time) a maximum of four. However, in today’s context, that score looks average but clever features help protect occupants in crash situations, plus it comes with an alarm, immobiliser and deadlocks.
With the exception of the Mercedes E-Class estate, A6 Avant is one of the biggest load carrier in its class with a wide boot that’s easy to access and the Allroad has identical boot space. It’s great for bulky and large items and can swallow enough kit for a few weeks holiday. There’s plenty of room inside too – especially for rear passengers while up front there’s good storage with clever hinged door pockets.
Of course the ability to go where most standard estate cars can’t is the Allroad’s biggest advantage.
