Audi A6 Avant (2011 - 2018) 2.0 TDI Black Edition 5d Multitronic Owner Review

I purchased my new Audi A6 Avant in 2015. I am a big Audi fan and this must be the 10th New vehicle purchased. I will stress that i love the drive and the room , but the big disappointment is the MMI. It is the same MMI as in my previous Avant , but from early on i noticed two factors. the first that it was slower in responding and that the voice controls were not as responsive. Since then i have had all sorts of problems, and i list a few: The voice command just not working The parking senors freezing and not knowing so again , the sat nav freezing I drove back from bristol with the parking sensors on all the way. This morning i set of at 7:39 , and the radio fired up at 7:43 These are just a few. Once it goes wrong i generally have to stop the car , turn the engine off and restart. effectively rebooting the MMI. i did this 4 times on my recent journey to London. Apparantly the facility to reinstall the software is not available. My frustration is that as the fault is intermittent, booking it in for a 30 minute test is not likely to show anything. I have tried pulling up outside my local dealer in Doncaster at least 4 times , with the error manifest , but they have always been too busy to pop out , despite reporting that they cannot repair any fault until they have seen it. I have spoken to Audi UK , who have neen in touch with different dealerships , admitting that it needs to be left with them and driven for a few days , but when i contacted the said dealer , all they wanted to do was to book it in and not keep it. If Audi UK cannot get a dealer to do this then the customer has no chance. I have offered for them to drive it for a week , and not bother with a courtesy car - not accepted. I accept that these things can go wrong , but i am extremely disappointed with the service from Audi. I just never know what the MMI will be like when i get in the car.
