Would you buy this car again and why?

I would buy the Audi A6 Avant Black Edition again with most of the optional extras I added but would get the infamous Audi Quattro for the extra performance and ability to use in adverse weather condition such as heavy rain, off road and snowy conditions.

What are you likely to buy next?

Audi A6 Quattro or Mercedes CLS AMG.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Received a great deal given I had purchased an A5 cabriolet before so was able to negotiate better and I was also looking at the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Wanted an executive great looking luxury car for my sport lifestyle that had lots of boot space. Audi interior quality, engine performance and ease of driving caught my main attention as well as the boot space and flexibility.

What was the dealer like?

Dealer was professional, polite and courteous and listened to my needs and budget. Would recommend the sales person I had the pleasure of working with.

What's it like to drive?

Driving is bliss on motorway journeys where is easily muches it way through with ease and never runs out of puff. Sport mode is ideal when overtaking or pulling off slip roads. It is also surprisingly economical given the size and weight and I easily return 48+ mpg. On slow days on the motorway I can get 55+ mpg. In and around town I can get around 35-44mpg which is excellent. On the downside, when you move from stationary and you want to accelerate fast there is a second delay and this is annoying. My A6 comes with 21" alloys so you hear and feel the bumps in the road. Driving over 30+mph you do hear wind noise from the wing mirrors. Lastly, driving around town is as effortless as the motorway though you are very aware of the length and width of the car.

What's it like to park?

Easy to park with the parking sensors and rear camera. It would have been good to have the 360 degree which I think you can get on the 2015 models as optional extra. I have parking assist (auto reversing and parallel parking which everyone loves) and I have used this rarely as the all round views are great and with the adjustable wing mirrors it makes light work of parking such a large car.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Nothing at all and I have done 15k since September '14 - July '15.

What's most practical about your car?

Most definitely the boot space with the seats folded up and seats down. To put this into perspective, I was able to go to the DIY shop and purchase 8x 100L compost bags and the car swallowed up the purchases with some tins of shed paint and bits and bobs. Most impressed and I couldn't have done this in a saloon. I can also happily stick my bike in it and still have plenty of room for all manner of other outdoor gear with no problems at all. Seating wise, the A6 will comfortably sit 5 adults and this is with the optional sunroof with their work bags thrown into the boot.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

My favourites has to be the Advanced key with electric hands-free boot opening system and power- operated boot lid with panoramic sunroof. All-LED headlights with adaptive lights and high beam assist, side assist including pre-sense rear and active lane assist, heated front seats for very cold days, interior lighting package, speed limit display which is great for areas you are unfamiliar with, multi-function steering wheel for controlling all aspects of the full colour dashboard, and technology package.
