Economy
Value
Everything is there in the right placeand it all works all the time.
Costs
I use a non-franchise VAG specialist, Volkserve. 10k mile service is routinely £58; 20k miles service £200.

On the road
Driving
Push it along and it will reward. The 'intelligent' gearbox is excellent.
Performance
2 litres is too small for the car really - but it is torquey and smooth.

Living with it
Reliability
I have done 240,000 miles in two Audis; they don't go wrong.
Image
Under appreciated but ageing better thab BMW 5-Series. Too subtle perhaps, but that's OK by me. My next Audi will be an A8.
Comfort
Ride is firm; seating is firm but supportive.

Security and Service
Security
Deadlocks, immobiliser, central locking, plus a post-fitted alarm. I lost my keys once and it was difficult and expensive getting in again - good support from Audi dealership.
Service
Even though the car is maintained outside the franchise network, whenever I have had to call upon the main dealer network they have always been excellent.
