Audi A6 Saloon 2.6 SE 4d (1995/M) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Much better equipment levels and build quality than anything else for the same money.
Costs
Excellent on petrol (average 32.5mpg). Parts are rarely needed, so price is less relevant. Quality pattern parts are available for less money at Eurocar Parts anyway. Also, I know 2 very good Audi breakers.

On the road
Driving
Very smooth engine. Suspension a bit harsh driving on bumpy roads. It does wallow on corners, but I am not a Max Power type kiddy. I drive like a gentleman.
Performance
Plenty of power available, just in case you need it. I hardly ever use it.

Living with it
Reliability
It's German. Of course it's excellent.
Image
It's a smart car. A 6 year old Audi has 100 times the appeal of a 1 year old Ford.
Comfort
Nice comfy seats with plenty of support and adjustment, but very hard suspension.

Security and Service
Security
It has a built-in alarm/immobiliser. No one has tried to get into it, but I won't take it into cities like London.
Service
I have only called Audi customer service twice, but on both occassions I found the staff to be extremily courteous and helpful.
