Economy
Value
Cheap 2nd hand but you will pay loads for parts and labour/servicing and insurance (grp 14).
Costs
Expensive to maintain and repair. Ave mpg is 32, this is on both for motorway/urban roads. Best economy speed is 50mph due to thirsty Turbo.

On the road
Driving
Handles most types of roads well, responsive steering, good visibility all round. However, the so called sports suspension can be little bouncy at times due to the soft springing. This means windy and undulating roads can leave the passengers sea-sick.
Performance
Powerful engine but this is negated by the 1.6 ton weight. Hence sluggish laid back nature.

Living with it
Reliability
Very reliable, good winter starter. Rubbers seals on windows wear off though causing road noise.
Image
"Old man's car" look. Pretty boring really.
Comfort
Typical ""old man""/executive type of car. Clothe seats a bit naff would be better if leather and heated as standard. Annoying aircon cuts of air totally from outside in the off position, thus no passive flow must waste petrol to turn on or open a window

Security and Service
Security
Passive alarm but good locks.
Service
cambelt, brake fliud, brake pads, tyres all need changing - expensive!

Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Quiet and powerful - will burn oil with regular hill climbing.
Other
Not easy to park due to length - recommend fitting parking sensors. Small boot entrance does not allow for large items.
