Audi A6 Saloon S Line (Technology Pack) 50 TDI 286PS Quattro Tiptronic auto 4d Owner Review

I've had 4 BMW 5 series over 15 years, thought I'd try something different. BIG MISTAKE. Minor & major issues too with this A6. Bought it with 10k miles. 1) the boot lid has kept opening of its own accord. Its been to the dealer thrice, problem still persists. Many a time I have returned to the car after several hours to find it open. I have been forced to never use the boot to store anything of value. 2) Sometimes the key fobs lock the doors, sometimes they don't. Have change the batteries several times. Dealer ignored the problem, said its nothing. 3) Auto gearbox & engine are at war with each other constantly, causing erratic, jerky, shaky gear changes at all times. Gears will not change up until its 3000-3500rpm, or it may go even higher before change. I have complained & left ite with dealer twice & they again, said its nothing. I have used autos for 25 years, never ever seen such a piece of junk gearbox. 4) Fuel consumption is excessive. Combined is around 25 mpg. 5) Satnav is crap. 6) Rattles & buzzing noises from behind dashboard. 6) The sound system is complete & utter trash. MW radios in the 1950s had much better sound.
Good points: 1) Sharp accurate steering. 2) Flat comfy ride. 3) Great sound insulation, so you can hear the rattles & appalling sound from the stereo.
The real shocker is, the arrogant service at the dealers. They refuse to belive your complaint & just tell you theres nothing wrong with it and send you home. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I, OR A FAMILY MEMBER BY ANY AUDI.

GOOD NEWS: I'm getting rid of it this week for a BMW which drives flawlessly, with 30-50% better fuel economy, & the dealers treat me with great respcet while aiming to please.
