Inside, the Audi S7 is much like the standard Audi A7 model. There is a slightly more upmarket feel to this version, however. If you’ve opted for the upgraded leather and various inlays then it gives off an even more premium feel. As with the standard model the MMI, drive select and climate control have plenty of features and it may take some time to get used to which dial does what and to figure out what you need to press without becoming distracted.

Once you’ve solved this problem though, the MMI is one of the best audio/media systems to use. Visibility is compromised a little by the wide A-Pillars and the small back window – blame the sloping design. The Audi S7 does feel like quite a big car and can be daunting but thankfully all cars come with front and rear parking sensors to stop any potential problems.

Due to the bigger wheels and stiff suspension to help with the handling of the car, the Audi S7 comfort levels can be a little compromised because the ride is a little firm. This becomes more of an issue in Dynamic mode, while Comfort softens this a little and makes it more bearable. There is very little road noise, while wind noise is almost non-existent.

There is some engine noise, however, but this is forgiven as it is the noise of a rather excellent V8 engine. The standard sports seats are excellent and offer a huge amount of support. As well as the lumbar support making things more comfortable for longer journeys, the lateral supports are excellent at keeping you pinned to your seat in fast, tight corners.

There’s a good amount of adjustment in the steering wheel and the seats, which makes finding your ideal driving position fairly simple. It seats four, like the standard model, and although there’s plenty of room for the two in the front, rear passengers will find headroom restricted.
